First ISIS now Ebola?

World is in panic over the spread of Ebola Virus. Ebola in Pakistan is still unknown, but then who is caring here? We are still fighting with Polio and Dengue, and focusing on other non-productive issues to get worries about such issues as Ebola Virus outbreak in our populous cities like Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and others.
Being 6th most populous country in the world, and not much impressive quarantine, and dismal healthcare infrastructure, we have lot to be anxious about. But I haven’t seen any advisory or any instruction from any provincial health department or from the health ministry at the federal level. This is dangerous and media must play its part to raise awareness.
But hey media is worries about rating too. There is no rating in creating awareness about a potential outbreak of a deadly virus. Will judiciary take suo moto action? Would Imran Khan do a long march about it, or would Qadri focus on this after his revolution and changing the whole system in this hapless and rudderless country?
Still, the source and major outbreak of Ebola is in West Africa countries like Sierra Leone, Liberia, and its neighboring countries. In Nigerian cities of Lagos, there have been some cases. There still is no vaccine for this virus, but it’s likely to be released next year in 2015. Following is a key fact sheet by World Health Organization.
It’s about time we do something proactively, please.
